Mood I (August)

1 comment on Mood I (August)

I also met a dishonest man in August, frightling. In the tarot deck, his card would have been the Prince of Cups. This is because dishonest men are frequently the dreamers of society — in my case, a romantic, who idealizes love to the extent that it becomes impractical and unreal in his mind's eye, and nothing real people with real lives could possibly hope to attain. A Photoshopped image of love, if you will, and as alien as the models in advertisements. This can send the Prince of Cups into legendary mood swings. Nothing can live up to his fairy tale expectations — and boy does this poetic heartbreaker know how to punish people when they fail to meet those! I'm mentioning the Prince of Cups to you, frightling, because I believe this card holds special meaning to you right now. Are you the Prince of Cups, or are you attracted to him? If you find yourself caught in a bad romance with him, what can you do to protect yourself from his flights of fancy? You might be attracted to dreamers, like me. If so, try to find someone with a healthy dose of earthy, grounding energy. (He'll probably be somebody who actually produces things, instead of just visions.)

It sounds like I'm the Prince of Cups, from what you've said. I broke up with my first love after just under 4 years of being together. It's strange, before the events of the last few months I wouldn't have picked this as the card for me, but I have come to more or less the same conclusions as to why the relationship ended.
Thank you, you've given me much food for thought! :)
