Listen Abroad or How I Learned How To Stop Giving a Shit and Start Listening to Foreign Music

Notes

Foreign music is fucking good for you. This is an important statement and here I'm about to enforce it.

I'm gonna be your damn music doctor today and here I'm gonna prescribe you some really rad Japanese alt/indie/math/prog rock tunes for your earholes.

Now sit your little bootybutt down here's some music.

***Sidenote: I tried to keep this 1 song per band but some bands change so dramatically over the course of their career that I had to put two for a couple.

Wow. Just Wow. I just. I kind of completely identify with this? I live in a very close, conservative and pretty much unoriginal society. Everything has to be one-sided and "cool-oriented" and if you're out of that sphere that's pretty much about it. As I started discovering foreign music I became particularly fond of turkish, icelandic, balkan and indian music. AND THEN A WILD JAPAN APPEARED. I'm so happy I found my favourtie bands here (indigo la end, plenty, tricot, and others like galileo galilei, lamp in terren, sleepy.ab, andymori, radwimps and the novembers). Thanks to you I now found many others. Thanks for stopping giving a shit and opened to the prospect of a broader perspective in musical diversity. Thanks for becoming interested in something else from what everybody's into. You are a w e s o m e.
