@spaceopera I'm always wanting to use Blackmore's Night (I've adored them for years!) but it's often really hard to fit them in with other bands. They're kind of unique basically! And yes I totally recommend looking into the Child Ballads - there are so many versions and variations.

<3 Fleet Foxes, Anais Mitchell, Joanna Newsom - other-worldly, passionate - like many of the others featured here, (yet a few notches down - to my ears - on the pretense & affectation). Also liked the Steeleye Span - nice way to wrap up the set! I will keep my ears open for more from them. Thanks!

Serendipity has found me here. Our paths have thus converged my dear friend. Indeed the universe has graced my journey to a bard of many talents. You carve the midnight souls and wandering spirits aflame into passivity—an angel's touch. I wonder if light seeps through your eyes like you swallowed the sun. It would explain the ease in which you melt off the eternal cold that grips the elusive introvert within all of us. The brevity for which I have your thoughts and you mine, isn't so saddening when you understand thought to be love's currency. Alas it has come time to part ways. Yours is a welcomed light on this ink blotched night.

Aye. Alas, “There are no true knights, no more than there are gods. If you can’t protect yourself, die and get out of the way of those who can. Sharp steel and strong arms rule this world, don’t ever believe any different.”

Thanks! I love these too and I think these folk artists don't get the widespread recognition they deserve - hence I wanted to make a mix to share their wonderful music :)
