soft footfall in an ancient grove

Now even the cattle court the cooling shade

And the green lizard hides him in the thorn:

Now for tired mowers, with the fierce heat spent,

Pounds Thestilis her mess of savoury herbs,

Wild thyme and garlic. I, with none beside,

Save hoarse cicalas shrilling through the brake,

Still track your footprints 'neath the broiling sun.

- Virgil, Eclogue II

Dear Idril, this is very interesting. Funny that I read your title as "soft football in an ancient groove", and thought what a nice sense of humor, also thinking that it's gonna be something funky, but it's more or less what I was looking for.

Greetings! :)

I'm curious in how did you discover all of your knowledge of music? Some of your tracks are rare and distant as this one.

A lot of different ways. For example I found the music in this mix because I was actively curious about ancient music and what Greeks/Romans would have listened to and so came across some of these albums that try to reconstruct it. I often have an idea of what kind of music I would like to hear and then go searching the internet to see if it exists!
