The Lannisters Send Their Regards

A narrative mix telling the story of the Red Wedding from start to bloody finish.
Tracklist and corresponding events here:

Catelyn Stark raised her hands and watched the blood run down her long fingers, over her wrists, beneath the sleeves of her gown. Slow red worms crawled along her arms and under her clothes...
Then the steel was at her throat, and its bite was red and cold.

Thanks!! And yes how cool we both got inspired on the same day - and I see you have another Stark mix I must listen to as well (I loved your Robb one btw - it was music for a good and noble king, may he rest in peace).

very nice! I continue discovering some new tunes. this time Fifteen Minutes Of Flame and The Butterfly. absolutely amazing tracks and perfect for describing the total despair after the red wedding. and cover is very depressing! thanks for this well-balanced mix.

Thank you and I'm glad you found some new tunes here - I think we both listen to a lot of similar artists so it is nice to give each other new discoveries sometimes! Yes, this is in many places a bleak and depressing mix (I had to make the cover art reflect that) but that's what George R R Martin likes to make fans feel... :P

haha truly! if you don't mind please send me these two tracks to as for Martin, I really was quite dissapointed when read this episode with bloody carnival. then I understood why Martin did this. it's very logical moment that's why I don't hate his method as well.

I've emailed you the songs, let me know if it worked! :)
It is a very shocking moment and it can create a lot of anger in the reader/viewer, but ultimately it was an artistic and character choice that serves to show the brutality of humankind and the tragedies that truly can occur. For the plot of the novels, it was also in the end the best thing..

Yeah that tune has been playing in my mind on a loop for a week now..And yeah it does have a similar feel (he did the soundtrack for both so I guess there's consistency in his style).

ah that makes sense, it's the same composer.

fyi, just tried to listen to another 'red wedding' mix and it was aaaawwwwfffuuuull. (started with Ke$ha - I shit you not) so thank you for doing this great moment in storytelling mixmaking justice. :)
