The fairy tale world operates on a system. Once every three or four generations, the Recurrence happens. During the Recurrence, each Story tells its tale. The Recurrence is something you can feel in the air. New faces, small differences in details, but the same stories until the characters reach Happily Ever After. But this time, something is different. Something has gone wrong. The Recurrence is in the air, but the Stories aren't being told. How can they reach the expected Happily Ever Afters if the Stories don't go as planned? So the characters band together and mount a quest and journey past the borders of their land to try and find an answer to the looming question -- What's happened to Happily Ever After?
