Sequel to my Dark Folk playlist. I've worked to bring out the gospel grandparents of folk in this playlist. I've also tried to pay homage to more of the great contributions by women to the genre.

All songs tell a story - but in this case, most of these songs tell many. Several are the oldest known recording of the song, and all are rooted in the struggle for life, love, and liberty.

The result is less a playlist, and more an experience. Either way, it's not exactly "easy listening".
