The cover to this assembly of songs, was a cropped photo taken on a footbridge over the UP in the Junction in Toronto. Someone had scrawled and carved what seemed like a plea for mercy in the wood. Perhaps the carver left a love-lock on the chains and cried their tears, then hopped a train to the airport and hasn't seen that lover since. Who knows what they were thinking... "Fuck me" can be a plea for so many human things One way or another. We have to show ourselves mercy to proceed.
