iEscape, Indie is now a commercially acceptable term for non-mainstream music, deal with it.

Indie is underground independent music. In other words not relying on record deals or commercialism to gain listeners. It has nothing to do with type or genre of music.
However, bigboss sites such as amazon twist the term into a commercially uncommerial genre. Sad, really.
