January sparked the new year with the death of David Bowie, Glenn Frey (The Eagles), and Paul Kantner (Jefferson Airplane). I found myself thinking pretty hard about musical legacies and if newer artists wish to permeate the subconscious of those that listen to their music on repeat. Do they know that once they die, we'll miss the piece they allowed us to be apart of? We'll listen to their records, tell our kids how much the music meant to us, and move on until the next one falls. I did all this thinking while vacationing in Hawaii while the entire North East got buried under 3 feet of snow. I'm not sure the correlation between the two...so here's some music I listen to this month.
