The streets of old Italy

Notes

Reinassance to XVIII century cantatas, folk dances, tarantelle and ciaccone [vocals and instrumentals]. This has some soothing, ancient vibes of dusty streets, countrysides and sunny skies.

A tribute to the ancient roots of my country, especially the southern areas - I tried to convey the spirit and the atmosphere of my people :)

Each song is much more fascinating than the next! Lady Lindy what regions do these songs originate from? I have only too recently learned about how divided Italy was in past centuries.

@Daniel Cœur de Lion those folk songs mostly belong to the southern tradition - that is, specificly referring to this mix, Campania (many songs here are sung in dialects from this region), Calabria, Molise & Apulia. The northern regions all have very different musical traditions, depending on the historical period etc. It's very fascinating, I hope you can get more into it!

Brilliant ! "This has some soothing, ancient vibes of dusty streets, countrysides and sunny skies." This says it all :-), thank you for sharing this !
