Karasuno High volleyball club was founded many years ago & went to the nationals once under the guidance of Coach Ukai & the "Small Giant". After this initial success, Karasuno failed to pass their prefecture's preliminaries in future tournaments & received the nicknames "The Fallen Champions" & "The Flightless Crows".
