How does one really feel after a poor night’s sleep while at the gym? Oh if only those muscles could talk on how they are really coping; could that rest day perhaps allow them to increase their speed of recovery? Seems there is no clear cut formula in determining ones time out frequency when measured against our age, fitness level and the duration thereof. Clearly signs of joint aches or muscle fatigue and recognizing the difference between soreness and pain raise some critical questions about ones true well-being. Perhaps having a better understanding of the pros and cons regarding the aftermaths surrounding terms like “No Pain…No Gain” could be beneficial to one’s fitness program.
