The web is filled with lots of runner expanding remedies some of which are soaking them in rubbing alcohol, massaging with potato juice, milk, candle wax or shampoo. Some say blast the tight spots with a blow dryer, steam iron or stuffing them with water balloons and setting the pair in the freezer for a week. Truth is new runners can be somewhat inflexible and may cause discomfort however over time will wear into shape with or without them nasty blisters.
