Just because of this mix, I am gonna read Calvino's "Il sentiero dei nidi di ragno" with this mix repeating in the background; would fit just perfectly.
Especially SmokedBeat took me down. Thank you for the mix.

Wonderful! If you survive the experience, I'd love to hear your thoughts at the end of the journey.
And that SmokedBeat track is available here http://millenniumjazz.bandcamp.com if you're interested.

Thanks man! I'm really glad you liked it!
Happy to know that you're familiar with Colin too. He's a friend of of a friend of mine. I caught many of his performances while I was living in NYC years ago, but I kinda neglected to follow his career over the past 10 years. I've only recently rediscovered his stuff, to my great delight.

wow, no shit!? that's pretty cool. I just have his album previous to this one, and def used some track from in in mixes from back then.

Also, he used to tend bar at this live music karaoke spot where I once sang Carry On My Wayward son accompanied by a pianist.
Figured you should know that. ;)

Yeah, that last track was specifically chosen as a reward for anyone who decided to stick it out all the way to the end. I considered putting it earlier in the lineup, but I really wanted it to round out the feeling of the whole mix. I'm quite happy with this one.
Thanks for spending another musical marathon with me!

This has "drunk and alone at 3am on a Tuesday" written all over it. Perfect title for this perfect vibe. I'm going to (try to) remember this mix when the time comes.
