They've spent a year and a half resting fitfully in their shallow graves. Seems a good time to rustle 'em up, shake out the dust and maggots, and give their spirits a proper send off. So, without further ado, I present to you the mutilated corpses of Gene and Dean Ween via a compilation of Ween covers, afterlife side projects, and one original by the dynamic duo.

@ErrorMalfunction Believe me, I sat on the fence for several weeks before finally allowing that one. I don't hate that particular song per sé, but that's the only time something like that will ever occur on this profile. It makes me feel icky inside.

@ErrorMalfunction actually i was gonna agree even though i've used phish tracks in my mixes,.... and i have to say i like this version...on the whole though, yeah i have a love-hate relationship. love ween though. great mix sp!

@ErrorMalfunction Thanks! And yeah, I'm definitely on the hate side of that relationship under all other circumstances, but I didn't really mind this particular song, mostly because the original is so good.

@Samuel_peterson Because my first introduction to them was "Push Th' Little Daisies" and I fucking HATE that song. In fact, I listened to it again today and I STILL HATE IT.

@SpaceBunnySounds I would strongly recommend giving 'The Mollusk' a full listen, perhaps a few times over, before doing anything else with your life.

@Samuel_peterson OK, that was pretty danged enjoyable, and delightfully strange. I didn't know what the hell was going on when track 1 started though. I don't think I was prepared for that opening. My favorite tracks upon first listen are I'll Be Your Jonny on the Spot (my #1 fave), Pink Eye (on My Leg), Waving My Dick in the Wind & She Wanted to Leave / Reprise. I can tell Ween will grown on me. You can count me as a fan now! Also, the fact that a track that's also on the Spongebob soundtrack is 2 tracks away from a track about waving your dick in the wind is FUCKING AMAZING. I approve 1000%! It's a shame that damn daisy song turned me off them for so long. But it doesn't really matter. I'm here now!

@SpaceBunnySounds I'm ecstatic! That will go down as one of my all-time favorite albums (even though I'm not really into that type of categorization). Last time I saw them play, he 'sang' the chorus to 'I'll Be Your Jonny On The Spot' whispering into a megaphone two inches from the mic. Welcome to the weird party, brother Bunny! We've prepared an entire smorgasbord for your eccentric delight. Bon apetit!

@Samuel_peterson @ErrorMalfunction I have complied with your request EM. The results are in: I LOVE THIS ALBUM! From it's opening track (which I had to look up to see if it was a Motorhead cover), I was hooked. My favorites after one listen are: Transdermal Celebration, Among His Tribe, So Many People In The Neighborhood, Tried And True (I think my #1 fave?), Captain, and The Fucked Jam, but the whole thing was great. It's clear I've slept on monumental talent here. I hang my head in shame, but rest assured, I will soon venture out to obtain ALL THE WEEN. Many thanks fellas, for steering me in the right direction. I owe you both a beer.
