I have great joy and meaning in my life

I am intensely concerned with right and wrong.

I regard skepticism as a virtue and I don’t believe everything I’m told.

I don’t let others control me. I follow my own personal code of ethics that have taken me a lifetime to develop and have led me to where I am today.

I am abundantly grateful for all the many wonderful gifts in my life.

I have been searching for answers my entire life, examining my ideas and the ideas of those around me. Although my search will continue the rest of my life, I feel I’ve reached a milestone.

I have found a new truthful existence – one based on scientific method and empirical evidence. When I have an idea or when I am presented with an idea I test it thoroughly looking for holes and weaknesses. This is the only way to obtain a better understanding of reality. I will constantly seek knowledge and truth. You can not prove by example, you can only disprove by counter-example.

I know that I have but one life and at the end of my life, I will have nothing more to give than others’ memories of me. I am not afraid of death because I can look back on my life with happiness knowing that I’ve lived every day of my short life to its absolute fullest. The false promise of another life diminishes the beauty and importance of the short time we all have here. I will use everything in my disposal to leave the world a better place than I found I it.

I do not preach, I lead by example and hope others will follow.
