I'm an "oldhead", and I was there during the early years of rap. I remember the dirty looks whenever you played your "boombox", and the looks didn't come from white people...I remember the days when the majority of Americans thought that hip hop was a silly fad that would end by the close of the decade (80's). The commercial success of Run DMC and the Beastie Boys in 1986 brought hip hop to mainstream America, and it has never looked back. Hip Hop would not be where it is today without the Beastie Boys.

Caught Up (Remix) by Chubb Rock & Hitman Howie Tee is magical. I'm cracking up at the lyrics, awesome.
