Being on the road waiting for a ride, not really knowing the final arrival time, has become for me completely restoring. I've made several small trips to and fro and fro and to and each trip, my time on the road is both exciting and calming.

Music helps me survive these times of being alone, when I'm on the road with nowhere to go. I play guitar and have dabbled in various other instruments such as piano, trumpet, clarinet, and cello. It is that release of emotion, that ecstatic, out-of-body feeling of movement, that spiritual connection, that hand to hold when needed, thought-invoking everything.

One person has summed up for me greatly how I feel about this time I spend....

"I travel not to go anywhere, but to go;
I travel for travel's sake;
the Great Affair, is to move."
Robert Louis Stevenson
(Travels with a Donkey)
