"A story of obsession, lust, love and a monster who can't be named."
This is a tribute to the lovely Ichor series by Nocturnememory. I initially wanted to annotate with quotes from the scenes I chose these songs to represent -- and oh, may that glorious day come, I hope, no matter how long I must wait. In their place are fragments from Sappho's poems, which are not only dear to me, but are (what I believe) the closest prose that could come to recreating the wonder that is Ichor. They are a mix of translations, including (but not limited to) Anne Carson, Willis Barnestone, and Josephine Balmer's.
