"Hello?" After hearing the voice, the girl's breath had caught into her throat as she didn't know what to say. She opened her mouth, but no words had managed to come out.
"Sarah?" The voice came again and the girl let out a shaky breath at the soft sound of her best friends voice, a voice she hadn't heard in a long time. She closed her eyes, breathing in and out deeply as she tried to regain her voice.
"Are you okay? Sarah, answer me." The desperate voice of her best friend boomed through the phone speaker taking the girls attention away from her breathing. She inhaled for the last time, and in a small, quiet and soft voice, she replied.
"I need you." And with that the call had ended.
