Optimizing with Firefox
One piece of software any optimizer should love is Firefox. Now some may say 'Why Firefox, it is merely a visitor'? Yes, it is a visitor, but the one that supports a big variety of plugins, many of them very useful for search engine marketing. We discovered https://twitter.com/OrangeCo_SEO by browsing Bing. So let's see what these plug-ins are:

1. SEOpen ( https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/570/ ): this is among the greatest and most used Firefox seo extensions, and has many methods that make it a favorite of mine. So let us see what it can do:

* in Google it could examine for: backlinks, indexed pages, related pages, cache and PageRank.

* in Yahoo and MSN: indexed pages and backlinks.

* for backlinks, traffic facts, Alexa: guide and related sites.

* key-word thickness of the very most used words on the site.

When the site is included in the service * DMOZ checker: see.

* search for robots.txt.

* validator to test your page for errors the validator is used by it from www.w3.org).

There are other items, but these are the main.

2. Search Engine Optimization Links ( http://www.webmasterbrain.com/seo-tools/firefox-extensions/seo-links/ ) is yet another extension I take advantage of daily. Once the extension si active and you hover over a link a tooltip will appear that will present you Yahoo, MSN, and Google link popularity and rating information for the URL and anchor text set. When you are simply exploring this can be frustrating, but you can simply de-activate it having a right-click!

This could be quickly used to check your se rankings for a particular site, and here is how: jot down a listing with all the keywords and keyphrases that you would like to rank for, and then link those words or phrases to-the webpages associated with them!

Now each time you need to always check your rates trigger the Search Engine Optimisation Links expansion and hover within the links -- you will see where your pages are in Google, Yahoo and MSN.

3. Don't waste anymore of one's valuable screen property simply to discover what your PageRank and AlexaRank is! SearchStatus ( https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/321/ ) could sit everywhere you want (I keep it in the status bar) and you'll get the important data at-a glance. But this little device can do much more than that:

* it shows what metatags a site has

* assessments for backlinks and found pages in Google, Yahoo and MSN

* it shows the robots.txt document

* keyword occurrence statement purpose

* and best-of all: the highlight 'nofollow' links will show you what links will be accompanied by search-engine spiders -- very helpful when you wish to submit your website to a listing and don't know if it'll matter from a seo perspective.

Therefore just in case you are not using Firefox, go get it! It could be your very best friend when it comes to seo!
