For my 2 original characters, Chris and Emma from my book Cardinal Pass the Window
“I’m not doing anything anymore but counting down the days to go!” She said, balling her tiny hands up in fists as tears sprung forward in her eyes and I stood silent in front of her “It’s no way to live!”
“But if you don’t get treatment then you won’t live at all.” I said and she shook her head, closing her eyes and wiping the tears away
“I know Chris, I know...And for the ten months i’ve got left, I’ll be free." She said I stared at her face and wondered if she knew. While she was telling me she had a death sentence, I was wondering if she knew I was in love with her.
