these songs transmit to me in the best way possible the ideia i have of the beauty of iceland's music. i think it has something to do with a melancholy that slowly turns itself into serene joy, and everything is really pure, almost in a childish way. when i picture icelandic music, i see the purest children playing in a big flat green field. very big, very flat and very green field.
