Melodic dubstep is a sub genre of dubstep that sounds exactly how it sounds, don't mind the pun. Rolling melodies, harmonious vocals and hooks ride on a bass line that usually features a pattern not as unpredictable as regular old dubstep. Basically this can be like dubstep with training wheels, or just a different flavor of when you're in the mood for something a little less skull-exploding.
