Cold, wintry evenings doing nothing but laying on the carpet listening to music, Having the balls to come up to her and say hi for the first time, going to a shitty movie just to have an excuse to meet her outside of school, asking to be her partner for a class project, talking in hushed tones during biology, long afternoons in the photo lab in dim lighting reeking of developer, long, cold road trips to frozen towns, walking home after school in the cold rain just to see her, going to my first concert, feeling on top of the world because she actually wants to be my friend. Because someone thinks I'm good enough to be around. Finally knowing and feeling what love actually is. Feeling complete, and happy for the first time. These are my memories of freshman year of high school
