Pushing all the right monster tunes*. Patti Smith was a nice surprise, reminded me of the Clash. The 'old' punk was so incredibly tight and rhythmic it makes me wonder why present-day punk is given the same name - the styles have nothing in common! Thanks for the enjoyable set :D

The Clash - Patti Smith parallel holds in this case, I think, but mainly because of the reggae influence on early Patti Smith - her later stuff is more Velvet Underground-meets-Nirvana-meets-Dylan (to me). If you liked this, and haven't heard her very first album, 'Horses', you need to listen to it right now. My favourite more-recent Patti is Peace & Noise, if you're interested.
