hiii sorry, i just saw these.. i'll try to reply to everything now:
um yes, alex turner is the lead singer and guitarist of the Arctic Monkeys (and The Last Shadow Puppets).
the majority of the artists in the playlist are from the uk, but kings of convenience are from norway, and well some (mree, simon & garfunkel, william fitzsimmons) are from the states.
i do indeed listen to bon iver as well - in fact they are one of my all time favourites.
