Fassbinder always deploys a fabulously eclectic soundtrack in his films which extends from the plaintive original score by his congenial partner Peer Raben, to haunting opera arias - and not least to a wide range of popular songs, some of which can be heard in this mixtape, e.g. from Leonard Cohen, Roxy Music or The Walker Brothers. Not to forget some stunning film scenes featuring famous Fassbinder actors on vocals such as Schygulla, Caven, Kaufmann or even Fassbinder himself.
