Benjamin Ringel was born on October 4, 1969 in San Antonio. He is best known as the guitarist and founding member of “The Slender”. Ben’s vision was to create a musical group that would stand the test of time. They started out playing on local parties, but in 1974 the song “Great Plain” really put them on the map, and the hits kept on coming. In 1982 Benjamin Ringel left the group, to peruse his solo career. His most recent project entitled “Tucson” is a modern sounding album that covers quite a bit of ground. Ben Ringel still stays busy with his music and his family.
