Thank you, ma'am. I checked into it and it's, surprisingly, Rudy Vallee. Al Jolson's rendition is a bit more chirpy and I like the melancholic and disenchanted feel of this one.
Not usually into blues but really enjoyed this mix. Seem to remember the 1932 `Brother can you spare a dime` on shellac but don`t think it is Al Jolson.
I like this. I didn't know what piedmont blues was so I looked it up. Turns out I knew what piedmont blues was, I just didn't know it was called piedmont blues! Thanks for the great mix and the insight.
