@Btrxz: how can anyone hate The Doors??
Anyway, you are one lucky monkey that you got to hug Miss Siouxsie. and yes, screw Budgie, the little bastard.

Wild Thing The Creatures <<melting hart I got to hug Siouxsie Sioux on The creature Boomerrang tour. Bingo bundgie is a twerp and I took him out!!-THX BTW

People Are Strange Tiny Tim<< was this song by Captain Kangaroo's wife? I hate the doors!! I am petty and small I know

but maybe they will tour in the end... after the 1998 "resurrection" they also split, but "death was not final"... don't worry, you'll see them in one form or another.

yes, i saw them live twice. it was cool. but after the 2006 tour they supposedly had a big argument and decided not to tour again.

Ah, now a tour would be excellent! :]
Yeah, the last album was slightly disappointing, but I told myself not to have high hopes anyway. The highlights for me were also The Dog's A Vapour and Saved. Did you get to see them live?? If so, I envy you. I really do.

maybe they should just tour a little bit and play old songs )))
i didn't like bauhaus' last album very much :((( except for "dog's a vapour", of course, which is wonderful. and "adrenaline" & "endless summer of the damned" sound damn good live XD

Hey, thanks for the link!! I never really got into L&R much since they were a big departure from Bauhaus and Tones. They did put out some good stuff, though. I'm listening to the album now, and there are some really great covers!
A TOT reunion would be nice, but their sound would probably be shockingly different from their previously released stuff, and I'm betting it would be more electronic and cleaner sounding (since that is what Daniel Ash seems to be more into nowadays) rather than their surrealist sound that we know and love. Just like how Bauhaus' last album was more commercial-sounding than their previous releases which were stark and raw they way I liked it. So maybe it's best that they don't have a reunion :P

hey, have you heard that a love and rockets tribute album has come out? with covers of their songs by artists like mj keenan (tool), black francis, place to bury strangers. you can listen to all the songs here http://batteryinyourleg.com/blog/2009/06/02/tribute-to-love-rockets/
and about tones on tail... bauhaus had a resurrection, love and rockets had a resurrection, now it's time for tones on tail.

Yeah, they're amazing. I've only got a tiny, tiny collection of Tones on Tail material (CDs, bootlegs and vinyl) since they left us SO LITTLE of their works. Really good stuff, but I wish they had put out at least a couple more albums to satisfy us. haha. and yes, Cinema Strange are underrated for sure, but that's because their sound isn't the easiest to get into :P

Many of these songs are covers of classics so most people would know them already, but if you want to compare, here are links to the originals:
