Eddie’s already been in Joe’s! club, canvassing for a recent murder nearby. Despite higher-ups dissuading him from digging deeper, he’s maintained a low-key (so far) investigation, irritated and unable to shake the sense that something else nasty is going to go down.

Imagine Eddie walking into the packed club for the first time during an evening and Barry’s enigmatic songbird act practically melting his brain cells out of his ears. Their eyes connect and zing-zang-sizzle-pop! Connection. Belief. Eddie gravitates toward the stage, Barry toward Eddie, the house is thick with the attraction and personality there as Barry tugs Eddie close by the tie, their faces a few inches from brushing before Barry slowly lets go, tie gliding from between his fingers.
