A playlist based on "Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?" by Joyce Carol Oates. This was made for a school project for a 20th/21th Century Women Authors class, where I was assigned to make something creative that responded to one of the pieces we read. The music found in this playlist correlates with the musical themes Oates placed within in the story that were criticizing the shallow ideals of love found within the music of the 50s and 60s. In the annotations, you will find quotes from the story that I felt related to the songs I chose, or they inspired the choice in the first place.
