Jim Hall as a sideman in (usually) small-groups in late 50s and early 60s sessions without a piano player. Not as much as a challenge as you'd think, because Hall recorded prolifically in this period and, after Chico Hamilton and others on the West Coast had him in groups as the chordal instrument, it became as highly sought-after a "sound" as his considerable musicianship.
I did make an exception for a track from a duet LP with Bill Evans, Undercurrent.
