In San Diegos southbay we are of a different breed mainly because this is a border town so there is a subculture of kids here raised with the knowledge of old traditions but also influenced by the more modern anarchist skateboardin b-boy punkrock mentality of we are loud in your face and we don't give a fuck we'll give you our 2¢ piece of mind and then pan handle it back way of life here. as 4 myself i am musically eccentric, obsessed with all genres and styles, when i find myself behind the decks i generally spin a variation of death rock/early punk/cold-darkwave/industrial techno/drum&bass or psychedelic rock of the 60's/70's. just the same i can go from listening to a skinny puppy track to miles Davis of course i would not try to mix the 2 in a set most of the time cross genre mixes just sound like abominations of sound just like i don't think I've ever heard a proper depeche mode remix even though i do believe my industrial remix of behind the wheel comes pretty close to properly done. all in all music is more than just listening entertainment it is a symbol a message a way to fight a call to revolt and question authority question traditional belief, a vessel to break free and liberate us from conformity and persecution forced on us by government and tyrant regimes but enough out of me stop reading this and make some loud noises of your own or just enjoy my playlist
