Notes
Rusalka, in Slavic mythology, is the lake-dwelling soul of a virginal maiden. Rusalki play near the water at night, climb a tree, swing on the branches, and sing songs, or sit on a bank and comb their hair, or join other rusalki in circle dances. They're dangerous to children and young men, as they entice them and tickle or dance to death.
