Notes
Piedmont Blues is a style of rhythmic, syncopated, finger-picking acoustic guitar blues, that developed in the Southeastern U.S. from Richmond, Virginia to Atlanta, Georgia in the 1920's and 30's. Piedmont style was influenced by ragtime and banjo picking techniques. Several of these artists were blind, one had a peg leg. They made their way in life performing on street corners, their virtuosity a function of survival. Dosage: 20 Finger-blisterin' tracks. Listen as needed.
