I was more excited about new music in 2012 than I have been in a decade. I made a pilgrimage to Austin to see my favorite band on tour. I was psyched that a NOLA brass band released a version of "Sweet Dreams." I was proud to back a couple excellent albums on Kickstarter.
So here's a mix to commemorate 2012. Starts out mystical, veers into raunchy pop titillation, then darkens back into introspection. Sorta like real life.
Featuring Chef Menteur, Japonize Elephants, Soul Rebels, and 20 others.
