Notes
The two had fallen into a love so sweet that naught but the South's mottled air could come between them. They sealed their fates with slim bands of copper, and the sweat of the swamp had dyed their fingers green as algae.
Where that verdant vow had flashed bright beneath her eyelids as she slept on his chest each humid night, it had blinded him.
Only stagnant water and blood-thick air would hold her now.

I love this! The story alone would be alluring enough, but the way you've built it around each song, each one of them so perfectly chosen, and created the adequate atmosphere to tell the tale… well it shows true artistic talent. I could almost smell the swamp and hear the wet steps of the bride seeking for revenge. I bow to you. This is genius.
