Unfortunately, I kind of agree with you on Kings of Leon. You should certainly look into MIA. "Kala" is a pretty decent album, but "Paper Planes" is the only song on the record that sounds like that, which can be either a selling point or a drawback, depending on who you're talking to.

the kings of leon disappointed me with their latest album, but i really like their first one. i consider it a classic. bowie is still one of my great favorites, and you added some other newer artists i really like, including the black keys and the decemberists. i'm interested in hearing more m.i.a.. all i've heard is the tune that samples the clash's 'straight to hell' (another one of my great favorite bands).
