AKA songs my mom played over and over and over again while I was growing up which used to annoy me; then came the begrudging fondness and now the unadulterated love.
There's something very upbeat and lighthearted even in 80s breakup songs that I can't explain-it might just be that the sound of it didn't age along with the message so now something that was serious seems silly. I don't care, at least you can dance to it.
