I remember being 15 and learning how much Catcher had defined being a teen for so many people. At the time, I was alienated, full of teenage angst, and suffering from a few disorders. Holden Caulfield became my first woobie.

Now that I'm older, I can see how over hyped this book is but God help me, I can't stop thinking of it fondly just because it helped me feel like I wasn't so alone at times.
