Rénie's macabre-esque piece, written in 1901, created a new genre in harp repertoire known as the tone poem. Based on Leconte de Lisle's "Les Elfes", this piece is 1 of 2 which participants in the 2011 Lyon & Healy's Awards competition must perform. Here are 2 versions, by Ceysson & MacDonald.
