Whenever I hear it I cry because only a few people understand exactly what the poem says and I'm glad a lot of people are happy but also sad because I understand it...
i am well versed in depression, for me it is because the world can't understand how someone can be gay and christian at the same time. So I have spent a lifetime trying to destroy myself, through cutting, alcoholism and drug addiction, suicide attempts and nervous breakdowns. But in the darkest shadows, I have found hope, a glimmer. And I have found that I must be around people when my natural inclination is to run. I have found that I have to be evolved in a world full of zombies. Grace takes on a whole new meaning when you have to claw and scratch and fight for it. Have peace, even if you have to scream for it, fight for it, put your stakes in the ground and fuck the world if they don't understand.
