I think I had to leave, to finally realize what I value in my life and more importantly to realize who values me. I felt so estranged from myself as if I had become disillusioned with the notion that home is poison. But in my solitude, I accepted that life is too short not to be happy, to not be close to your friends and family. And now that I'm back, I can say that I am happy and that this year may turn out to be my solace. And maybe it's fate or maybe it's just beautiful randomness, but I think I'm in love.
