Ashton had been gone for six weeks on tour. It would be another six months before you could see him again. You sat on the window seal of your shared bedroom, looking out onto the ocean and grey skies. Your phone sat beside waiting for a call.. or even a text. You curled your legs up close to your chest, wrapping your arms around them. For a few minutes, you sat there in quiet until your phone went off. Picking up the phone you hit the answer button.

"Hello?"
