I've been showing my dad some 70s/80s female-fronted bands that have been called punk at times, even though a lot of these bands were labeled "power pop" or "new wave" more often than being labeled "punk." I already know he likes The Shivvers, Blondie, and Holly & The Italians, so I hope he enjoys some of the other bands on this mix.
