I agree with your notes but, surprisingly to me Ozpin is somehow the best boy of the whole series despite all this and, I think overall he's getting to much backlash from what he did, other characters in the series have done bad things but, he gets the worst punishment for his, which are good plus his backstory didn't even make the main cast feel bad for him at all, they just cared if they wasted their time or, not which is selfish not to say Ozpin isn't himself since he took a bunch of kids on some wild rides but, I think it's unfair with how he was treated for this plus Oscar as well since that's unfair to him being treated just like Ozpin's host and, not a person himself... not saying Ozpin should be spared from his actions, I think it was right for the main cast to hate him but, for this long feels rather aggravating, his backstory is very upsetting since all he did was die to trigger all the events into motion.
