This is the final version of the mix that was recorded onto a blank tape and handed to Michael Rooker at FanX with the request that he pass it on to James Gunn, the disgraced and sorely missed writer/director of Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Song choices came from my own ideas, Taaroko's, and suggestions from the GotG fandom on Tumblr (thank you all so much!).

I don’t expect to ever hear about whether the tape did make it into Gunn’s hands or how he feels about it if it did, but I do believe Rooker is a man of his word and that he at least understood and appreciated our intentions.

We also included a note in the cassette case, letting Gunn know how inspiring his movies are and how we don’t want him to be silenced. Signed by the fans: “We Are Groot.”
